REPORT MISTAKES! I guess there are many mistakes on this page - incorrect spelling, wrong English structures, unfunctional hyperlinks etc. If you discover any bug, please let me know (my mail is in the bottom of this page).
NAMES OF FILES: Files for download listed below are named like L-2005-07-10.mp3 or M-2005-07-12-Metta.mp3. The "L" or "M" in the beginning stands for Lecture or guided Meditation, the rest of name is date of lecture or meditation. All guided meditations have specification of type in the title (like "metta" in the M-2005-07-12-Metta.mp3). Unfortunatelly I didn't have time to add such specifications to lectures. If someone of you can do it, please send me the list of lectures names and I'll update this page.
AUDIO QUALITY: The MP3 files are done with quite new method (ABR), so if you use a very old MP3 player I can have problems to read it. Install new version, please (like from www.winamp.com)
I have to apologize for a few things: The first - as Bhante was more distant from the microphone than the translator, his voice sounds weaker than the translator's one. The second - very often a few first words of the lecture or guided meditation are not recorded, because I started the recording with a delay. So these troubles are not caused by your equipment you use for playing MP3s, the cause is on my side - sorry for it...
Many thanks to LUKAS, the adminitrator of this Internet server, who was so generous and gave us such huge space here for uploading all our records. Metta to you LUKAS :-)
Many thanks to ZUZANA, who translated the book METTA - The practice of Lovingkindness as the foundation for Insight Meditation Practice, by Sayadaw U Indaka. You find the PDF of the book below, in English as well as in Czech language. Thank you, Zuzka, for doing such a great job !
Many thanks to GIANNI, who sent me CD with lectures of Bhante Sujiva given in retreats in Ireland and also in Gianni's meditation center in Italy. Thank you Gianni for recording these lectures in good quality and for the willingness to share them !
A few of you made some snapshots in the end of the retreat. I think it would be fine if you can send me some of snapshots, which I can put here.
Some of you have already sent some snapshots, see HERE.
All these books are downloaded from www.buddhanet.net - visit the page, there are a lot of other very interesting titles.
The following book is the main vippassana textbook by Venerable Sujiva. Easily understandable explanation what to do in vipassana meditation:essentials.pdf
As the metta was the most often guided meditation during the retreat, I add a lovely Bhante's book on that topic:sujivametta.pdf
METTA - The practice of Lovingkindness as the foundation for Insight Meditation Practice, by Sayadaw U Indakametta_indaka_english.pdf
Currently, the book is in very simple PDF which is suitable only for printing, not for browsing it on your screen. More comfortable browsing can be accomplished by creation of PDF with active Table of Contents (it means, that if you click the title of the chapter in the Table of Contents you'll be automatically moved to that chapter). I'm willing to create such a PDF, if at least a few people want it - so if you intend to browse it on your screen without printing, send me a mail request
TIPITAKA: Many thanks to Juraj for sending compressed version of tipitaka. It is downloaded from http://metta.lk, but this page seem rather slow. Below you can download all Tipitaka's html from http://metta.lk in one ZIP and the dowload should be considerably faster than from the original page.tipitaka.zip
Within a few days I add here some titles from Venerable Mahasi and others. Now I'm putting here very nice issue of Dhammapada (with pictures, detailed comments and translations of Pali words).DHAMMAPADA_ILLUSTRATED.PDF
Above all, the Internet page where you can find list of courses given by Bhante Sujiva (and other information as well) is http://www.sujiva.wz.cz/ ."
Other important links are HERE. Maybe you know about some other interesting Buddhistic web-page, just send me a link (my mail is in the bottom of this page) and I'll extend the list of links.
PLEASE: Send a brief description of the page - what can you Dhamma friends find there. I don't have enough time to explore it myself... Thanks :-)
